Interactive Wavelets

This ION Script application demonstrates the use of the continuous wavelet transform for time series analysis. Similar to the windowed Fourier transform, the wavelet transform decomposes a one-dimensional time series into two-dimensional time-frequency space.

The application is written in ION Script, while the wavelet transform is computed using the IDL Wavelet Toolkit. Further information on wavelet analysis can be found in the Practical Guide to Wavelet Analysis.
